OVERLAMPING

Licensed Commercial Electricians in Ottawa
Overlamping is when a fixture has a bulb with a higher wattage than the fixture is designed for. The extra heat from the bulb can melt the socket, insulation, and wires. That will cause sparks to fly from one wire to another and will cause an electrical fire. If this happens and you change out the bulb, be aware that the damage to the socket and wires remains.
